The lens achieves these feats by utilising a new optical construction with XLD and LD elements, a new Ultrasonic Silent Drive ring-type autofocus motor with two high-performance microcomputers, and a new VC image stabilization system with performance rated at 5-stops.Improvements does not stop there; minimum focus distance is now only 95cm (down from 130cm), the tripod mount is now Arca-Swiss compatible, an electromagnetic diaphragm is now used for improved exposure control, and the barrel is now more ergonomic.This lens model features a full-frame F mount to make it compatible with Nikon’s FX full-frame and DX cropped sensor DSLR cameras.
