With the Sony 16-35mm lens, photographers can shoot confidently handheld in low light scenes thanks to the built-in optical image stabilisation, and control depth of field with a constant F4 maximum aperture. This wide-angle zoom lens brings ZEISS quality for optimum performance.

Sharpness Across the Frame…

The lens construction of the Sony 16-35mm lens consists of 10 groups in 12 elements, including one advanced aspherical lens [1], four aspherical lens elements [2], and three ED (Extra-low Dispersion) lens elements [3]. The elements are strategically arranged to prevent optical aberrations and ensure optimum image quality throughout the zoom range. Including ZEISS T* coating to suppress reflections such as ghosting and flare when working with strong light sources such as backlit situations.

Rapid Autofocus

Autofocus is fast, smooth, and near silent as Sony have incorporated a linear autofocus motor and internal focus design beneficial for recording video with enhanced audio and sharp images.

Blur-free Images

The built-in Optical SteadyShot image stabilisation enables photographers to work confidently handheld. The technology compensates for camera shake which is beneficial for shooting in low light environments achieving superb blur-free images.

Beautiful Optics

Featuring a maximum F4 aperture, this lens makes use of available light and allows the user to take control over depth of field. The seven-blade circular aperture enables the creation of smooth blur in out of focus areas (bokeh) when adopting different focusing techniques.
