The new Ricoh Digital GRIIIX HDF – High-end digital compact camera – featuring a new, built-in HDF (Highlight Diffusion Filter) to create mellow, diffused expressions in highlighted areas.

This camera takes the basic benefits of the base model – exceptional image quality, flawless operation, and outstanding mobility – and allow the user to activate the newly developed, integrated HDF (Highlight Diffusion Filter) with a single movement, which provides soft, smooth images with diffused light areas in addition to the clear, sharply focussed images of the base models. This filter allows the user to give the captured images a completely different visual expression, depending on the subject or creative intention.

The GRIIIX HDF provides the photographer with a built-in Highlight Diffusion Filter, giving the option to choose either high resolution, high contrast images for accuracy and precision: or softer, more expressive images to create a sense of depth and emotion. The GRIIIX HDF can switch extremely quickly both these two models, enabling a wide range of creativity, further enhancing the series for snap shooting.

Due to high demand, the GRIIIX HDF is offered with a 26.1mm F2.8 lens (equivalent to 40mm in 35mm format)

The 40mm corresponds to the angle of the view of the human eye.
