The Leica Macro-Adapter-M is perfectly matched for the Leica Macro-Elmar-M 90mm f/4 lens, and any other M-Mount lens. The adapter is designed to be mounted between the camera and the Leica M-Mount lens. Incorporating a helical screw system that allows a variable extension of the lens of between 18 and 30mm and thus enables the variation of the reproduction ratio.

The Macro-Adapter enables macro exposures up to a reproduction ratio of 1:2 with Leica lenses from 50mm and greater and, with wide-angle lenses, even larger ratios. The lens-to-subject distance decreases with decreasing focal lengths. Some interesting information include, that the Leica Macro-Adapter-M provides is that if you use it with 28, 35 or 50 lenses – it creates fascinating effects; and a short distance from the subject creates extremely distorted perspectives and highly selective sharpness.
