The Homeos stereo camera was one of the first ever 35mm and a processor of Leica. Although not a huge commercial success, with only about 500 cameras produced, it was an innovative design, and helped point the way to modern 35mm cameras. — This example, maybe a preseries or prototype camera is by far the most early number (no.3) known to exist with Krauss Tessar 4.5/28mm lenses nos.114425/26 (approx 1916) It is different to later cameras, it has other features on the top plate, the the brass parts are not nickeled and has no leather covering. It is in fantastic condition with the original brown leather case, film spools, tripod adapter and the beautiful mahogany Homeos stereo viewer.
